Clearwater, FL (September 23, 2011) – Aquila Sailing Yachts would like to introduce you to the sales and technical team who will be at our booth located on Dock D during the United States Sailboat Show. 

Ioannis Moatsos – Reichel Pugh Yacht Design
As a member of the Reichel/Pugh design team Ioannis was involved in both the design and engineering development of the Aquila RP45 from the early stages of the project and has an extensive knowledge of both the naval architecture and structural design details of the yacht.  Ioannis joined the Reichel/Pugh Yacht Design team back in 2006 and has since been involved in both new concepts and designs.  He has extensive knowledge in both Olympic Class and Grand Prix sailing, sail-making, racing, ship and yacht building on an international level.  Most recently he has been involved in the development of custom IRC52 racers. 

Jean Raas – Sino Eagle Group
Sino Eagle Group recently brought Jean onto their team to head up the global distribution of their expanding yachting and surfboard manufacturing business.  He has been actively involved in the marketing and sales distribution of the Aquila RP45 since its introduction into the global market.  His background involves being a member of the United States Sailing Team from 1995 until 1998 where he competed in the 2000 US Olympic Trials along with competing in various International Olympic Class Regattas all over the world.  Jean previously worked for TUI Marine (Sunsail and The Moorings) as the Director of Purchasing and Logistics. 

Ant Steward - Sino Eagle Group
Perhaps best known for his record breaking solo circumnavigation of the world in a 19 ft. Open Boat, Ant Steward is charismatic and an experienced member of the Sino Eagle team.  Brought up as the son of a boat builder, he has intimate knowledge of every aspect of design, build, testing and racing.  He has been part of the Maxi World series, qualified for the Olympics in the Finn class, selected to represent South Africa in 5 International events, sailed the Sardinia Cup, has skippered 6 trans-ocean entries (including the Mauritius to Durban race and the Cape to Rio race), and has extensive knowledge on IOR and IMS fleet racing world-wide.  As VP for TUI Marine, he was involved from inception in many of the award winning boats.
